#4192 Bizenware usabata, for flower arranging (ikebana), with minor damage. A classic form, heavy, very solid stoneware. Body hand potted, with stylized dragon handles and elephant head feet; and flying cranes, clouds, and moon designs on sides. Inscribed keyfret pattern around the top edge.
A small repaired chip on top rim of body, back side, with 2 hairline cracks, still very solid; and two other very minor chips around the rim. Large inscribed seal on bottom. 11"diam x 9.5"h. C.1920 . . . $175
