Japanese flower arranging baskets (hanakago) exhibit a wide variety of designs, craftsmanship, and materials. Traditional craftsmen use split, bent, natural, and smoked bamboo, along with reed, root, and other natural materials, to create unique artworks for ikebana, an important cultural art form.
