#4166   Large iron teapot (tetsubin), with raised rice grain surface texture; signed with maker's seal cast next to spout. Heavy lid with a pierced blossom finial. A classic form.

          Very good condition. A little rusty inside, but the bottom very solid. The body is in perfect condition. The "chips" around the bottom edge of the sides are features of the original casting - see photo of the bottom. 9.5"h including ornate, pierced wrought iron handle, 8"diam. C. 1900 . . .   $150
