Pair large gilt hanging temple lanterns, heavy copper, etched, pierced designs of lotus flowers, waves, vines, flowers, clouds, dragons, antique

#1436   Pair of large gilt bronze hanging temple lanterns; heavy, with etched and pierced designs of lotus flowers, waves, vines, flowers, clouds, and dragons.

          Hinged, latched doors on the front, and large handles on top. Each lantern has one rear panel replaced, and each has one decorative rivet cover missing on the bottom (not structural); one top pin replaced. Both are weathered; one somewhat more than the other.

           Each is 16.5"diam x 18.5"h (to top of handle).  C.1950 . . . $750/pair
